Why BabyPeek

Everything the clones skip

5 methods + majority verdict

Nub, Ramzi, Skull, the Chinese calendar and a playful Photo Pick — combined into one verdict, not a single guess.

The reveal moment

Purple resolves into blue or pink with confetti — a keepsake moment, ready to share with family.

On-device privacy

Your ultrasound is read on your phone and never uploaded to a server. Your scan stays yours.

Honest evidence labels

Every method says how much evidence is behind it. No fake "99% certain" — when it's a coin flip, we say so.

Unlimited scans + history

Re-check at 12, 16 and 20 weeks. Every read is saved so you can watch the verdict firm up.

Shareable reveal cards

Turn any result into a branded card for the group chat — the viral moment, built in.

How BabyPeek works

Scan → 5 methods → majority verdict → reveal

Four simple steps from your ultrasound to the big moment.

1

Upload your scan

Add a photo of your ultrasound — 12 to 14 weeks is ideal for the nub. Everything happens on your device; the image never leaves your phone.

2

5 methods run

You mark the nub and spine and BabyPeek measures the angle; add Ramzi placenta side, Skull cues and the Chinese gender calendar, plus a playful Photo Pick — each labelled with how much evidence is behind it.

3

Majority verdict

Results are combined into one clear verdict — boy or girl — with an honest note on the evidence. When signals are split, BabyPeek says so instead of faking certainty.

4

Gender reveal

Purple dissolves into blue or pink with your chosen reveal style — Confetti Balloon, Envelope & Ribbon, or Smoke Bomb. Save or share with family and friends.

The reveal moment

Turn your result into a moment

Pick a reveal style, then watch purple resolve into blue or pink.

🎈

Confetti Balloon

The classic pop — purple bursts into your colour.

💌

Envelope & Ribbon

A slow, tender unwrap for the family video.

💨

Smoke Bomb

Big, bold colour for the outdoor reveal party.

Privacy by default

Your scan never leaves your phone

BabyPeek processes your ultrasound on-device. Images are stored on your phone and are never uploaded to our servers — so the most private photo of your pregnancy stays exactly that. No accounts to scrape, no scans in the cloud.

Honest about limitations

It's for fun — not a medical test

No app can confirm your baby's sex. BabyPeek uses folk methods and first-trimester scan clues that run at chance level when used alone. The nub-angle method is peer-reviewed and meaningful from 12–13 weeks onward — but not before. The Chinese calendar is a fun tradition at roughly 50% accuracy.

BabyPeek always tells you how much evidence each method has, admits when signals are split, and points you to your doctor's anatomy scan at 18–20 weeks for the real answer. A guess from us is a guess; a result from your doctor is the truth.

For entertainment only. This is not medical advice — confirm your baby's sex with your doctor's anatomy scan.

Questions

Good to know

Multiple prediction methods combined into a majority verdict, an honest note on how much evidence each method has, on-device privacy for your ultrasound photo, and a shareable reveal. Look for an app that is upfront about what is free and what is paid, and avoid apps that rely on a single method.
They predict from folk methods and first-trimester scan clues, so treat them as fun, not medical. Reliable answers come from medical tests: a cell-free DNA blood test (NIPT) from about 10 weeks, or the anatomy scan at around 18–20 weeks.
Some apps — BabyPeek included — show a teaser and unlock the full result with a subscription. That's fair only if the app says so before you scan: a trustworthy app is clear about what's paid and what isn't, and never dresses a guess up as a diagnosis or calls a scan analysis "free" when it isn't.
Look for an app that processes your scan on your device and is upfront about how your photo is handled, rather than quietly uploading it somewhere. BabyPeek processes everything on-device and never uploads your scan.
No app can. BabyPeek gives a majority verdict from five methods with an honest evidence note for each method, and always points you to your doctor's scan for confirmation.
No. BabyPeek is for entertainment only and is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. For anything about your pregnancy, talk to your doctor or midwife.
It depends heavily on image quality and week. Only the nub angle has real research behind it (from about 12 weeks); Ramzi, Skull and the Chinese calendar are folklore, and the Photo Pick is purely for fun. BabyPeek labels each method's evidence rather than pretending to be certain.
Yes. Every read is saved in your history on-device, and you can export your reveal cards to share whenever you like.
Yes. Scans are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Your ultrasound stays on your phone.
You can cancel anytime through the App Store, and we never charge for scans that come back unclear.
Scans are unlimited on every plan, so you can re-check at 12, 16 and 20 weeks and watch the majority verdict firm up.
